Sadly he lived by the stormy North sea and had a hard time doing what he valued most. By the time he was eleven he learned certain things that would continue with him for the rest of his life. He knew how to speak English and Scottish, he also knew his bible very well. Once he discovered all the wonders in the wilderness he began to love them more and more. The Muirs' family decided that they wanted to leave to travel and lived in America. John was so enthused because he knew all of the nature that America had to offer such as trees of all kinds, and animals of all kinds as well. All the things John dreamed about when he was younger.
