Popularity of Classical Music nowadays Essay

Classical music is defined as Western Art Music including both religious and secular music. It became very popular during the Classical period, which was from 1750-1820. During this time composers like Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven created their masterpieces. Even though Mozart and Beethoven's music is nearly 300 years old, it is still considered the greatest music of all time. There were many unique characteristics during Classical music era such as melody, rhythm, texture, and timbre. Classical music concentrates on how it transitions and variations are proficient. It transitions the listener from one melody to the next artistically.
In my opinion, Classical music is still relevant to this day. This music served as a window through time. It paved the way for today's most successful entertainment venues. For example, networks like Disney and Warner Brothers used classical music to help set the theme for their movies and cartoons. With the help of classical music, cartoons such as Looney Tunes and Mickey Mouse are considered as "classic cartoons". Still to this day, classical music pieces are still being used in the creating of modern movies as background music.
Classical music is arguably established as the music of intelligence. Numerous studies have shown that listening to classical music can have long-lasting effects on an individual's brain. It can help stimulate brain function in developing infants and improve the ability to comprehend math and other computing skills in adults. It helps train the brain to recognize all the parts that work together as a whole. In child development reports, studies has shown very positive attributes on the child's brain by just listening to classical music. Some research has determined that listening to classical music at early youth can help increase the development of synaptic connections in the child's brain. If the synaptic connection increases, intelligence will also increased. Classical music can also stimulate the frontal and prefrontal portions of the brain also.
Saying classical music is not important to today's world is like saying that bricks are not important to buildings or houses. In my opinion, classical music is the establishment of what our modern-day music is based off of, and there are indications to it throughout pop culture. There is still relevance of classical music in today's world. This genre of music today is made up of songs composed centuries ago. It continues to serve as a historic evidence for the life and times of days past. It also serves as a blueprint for all our favorite modern forms of entertainment. It also serves as a trainer for our developing brains. Even today, the inspiration of the classical music era still reigns true. Composers today still want to illustrate the greatness with dynamics, variety, and authentic beauty of the classical era style music. I think there is as much room for the genre now as there was back then, and as long as entertainment is a need for individuals, there will be room for the genre a hundred more years from now.
