What I think about Hamlet character Essay

I do not feel sympathy towards Hamlet because he is conscious of this act of insanity in front of his family. He is willingly stressing out innocent family members when he could be more intelligent about his motives and carry out a heartfelt conversation about what is bothering him. This is an example of dramatic irony, because the audience has knowledge of Hamlet pretending to be "insane." However, the characters in the play have no idea about what is going on, and conclude that Hamlet is in fact, crazy.
I feel sympathy towards the ghost because it's the dead spirit of King Hamlet. He is aware of the tragedy that took place to Hamlet Sr. and has to cope with the idea that he can never be brought back to life. He is a wandering spirit and can never take revenge on the person that murdered him, or expose the truth of his death by himself. The truth of his cruel brother murdering him for the "king" title. "How strange or odd soe'er I bear myself /(As I perchance hereafter shall think meet/To put on an antic disposition on), (1.5.171-173).
I feel sympathy for Ophelia because she believes that Hamlet is truly insane of his one sided love for her. She feels guilt that she cannot love him back and that this issue is causing Hamlet pain. "As it hath used to do that I have found The very cause of Hamlet's lunacy- (2.2.48-49) This presents

I do not feel sympathy for Polonius because he is more of a selfish character and he jumps to conclusions instead of thinking through why Hamlet is going "crazy". If he had thought it through he would have got the chance to have ended up helping Hamlet. "As it hath used to do that I have found The very cause of Hamlet's lunacy- (2.2.48-49)
I feel sympathy for Hamlet as now he knows the truth behind his father's death and he knows that his uncle is the cause of that and this hurts him immensely and angers him to know he has been murdered. In this quote we as audience/readers have been revealed to the murder behind his father when most characters do not have a single thought behind the truth of his death as they keep believing that he died from a "snake bite".
I do not feel sympathy towards Claudius because he is such an unethical and cruel being for murdering his brother for such selfish reasons. He wanted to become king, and established this by murdering his own brother. "Now Hamlet, hear./'Tis given out that, sleeping in my orchard,/A serpent stung me. So the whole ear of Denmark/Is by a forged process of my death/Rankly abused. But know , thou noble youth,/Thy serpent that did sting thy father's life/Now wears his crown. (1.5.34-40)
