The department that we choose is Marketing Department. Marketing is referred to a set of activity that institutions, delivering, exchanging offerings that values for customers. Marketing is also known as the helper for a company to sell of their products. One of the information system used in Marketing Department our KFC is advertising and promotion system. Advertisement and promotions plays vast role in marketing KFC new innovative foods that can be competition to other types of foods. Advertising is paid, nonpersonal communication through various media by organizations and individuals who are in some way identified in the message. Nonpersonal communication does not have an identified sponsor. People can receive full information about the invention of new product by KFC. For example, the newly invented Hot and Cheezy by KFC. Promotion consists of all the ways to communicate with customers in a market. KFC uses many tools to promote their foods, such as, email promotion, mobile promotion and etc. The purpose of using advertisement and promotion is to get potential customers where they can learn more about KFC and their new innovative foods. The most effective ways KFC would advertise is this era is through social media. Social media like Google, Yahoo, television and Facebook has result of getting people to know about their new product in a seconds. If users click through the KFC Malaysia website, they can get the chance to gather comments, preferences and addresses. When the KFC foods are promoted through any types of advertisement, consumers will have the confidence that they are reliable source. In a nutshell, more customers will purchase the KFC products. This proves that advertisement and promotion is responsible of delivering beneficial information to the people that technically helps KFC to get more customers than ever and maximize their sales and profits.
The following department that this assignment is all about is Human Resource Department, HR Department. Human Resource department is the process of determining human resource needs such as, recruiting, selecting, developing, evaluating, motivating, compensating and scheduling employees to achieve organizational goals. Human resource was called personnel for many years that has subordinate functions. One information system used by HR Department is evaluation. Evaluation is one of the organizational goals. Evaluation is about measuring staffs works against established standards which is preeminence to take any decisions about training, compensation, promotions and termination. The purpose of evaluating is to improve employees performance from the feedback. The evaluation could be in printed form or software and conducted by supervisors. Then, they can know the exact employees performance and find solution to improve the employees job for better success. KFC staffs will be given opportunities to correct their flaws and they will be evaluated in the following time. Employees are expected to improve their performance based on their appraisal result. In conclusion, the workers can really improve their work based on evaluation result. Evaluation is crucial in every organization such as KFC to keep up their workers standards that may affect the sales.
