The development of online shopogolism Essay

The terms 'Online Shopping' has risen quickly since its break-through and become popular among people as they are tend to use online shopping instead of traditional shopping in which they need to go to stores to purchase items they want. There are many online shop over the Internet that provide the same item as the retail stores have and you always have a choice to compare the price between it so you can own the item you want at the cheapest price. Besides that, shoppers no longer have to waste their fuel and time as they can buy their de-sired items at any time. Hence, online shopping can be a drug for people who live busy life and a shopaholic.
We managed to interview an online shopaholic, Muhammad Sarji Bin Awang Bulat, a third year student from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He said that he prefer to buy t-shirt online after one of his friend introduced him to an online shop that sell clothes on Facebook. Since then, he always bought a t-shirt from an online shop and will buy at least two or three pair of t-shirt every semester to be added to his collection. "I started to buy t-shirt via online since the start of 2nd semester in UNIMAS" said him passionately. The reason why he opted to shop online rather than to go to store is because online shopping is easy and he can order the t-shirt he wants at anytime without any worries.
Besides that, he also said that most of the t-shirt in online shopping are cheaper, varies and fit his taste. "I always look at the newest collection of t-shirt from the online store on Facebook, and I always tempted to buy it since the price is cheap and hardly to find at stores that fit my taste" said him with a smile. In addition, some of the shirts he wants is not available in his region, thus make him find and buy the shirts he wants via online. In addition to that, he also bought shoes and sometimes neck-tie via online as the online shop sell varies items for their customers. Thus, it is the same as "killing two birds with one stone" as he is able to buy the shirt and shoes at the same time. Muhammad said that sometimes he using the neck-tie and shoes he bought online to be match with his shirt when going to class."Since I became a regular customer of the online shop, they gave me a discount as a sign of appreciation for buying their product and trusting them" added him again. He also said that the quality of the items at online shop is good as an item that was being sold at the stores, thus make him prefers to buy items via online shop. At the end of the interview, he said that it is hard for him to stop his addiction to buy an item via online for now as online shopping make his life
