Interviewing - it consists of to ask the domain expert questions regarding domain of interest and how task is performed by them. Interviews can be done structured, semi- structured or unstructured. Interview' success is based on questions asked and expert's ability for articulating their knowledge.
Role Playing - in this a role is adapted by expert and he sees situation from different angles.
Observation - in this task performed by expert is observed by knowledge engineer. Its methods are active participation, on- site observation and disclosure analysis.
Goal Related - to elicit information techniques of focused discussion are used regarding sub- goals and goals. Its methods are reclassification, goal decomposition, dividing the domain etc. (Mohamed, 2008)

Procedures - it can be used for determining steps followed for completing task. Its methods are concept mapping, tutorial interview, problem discussion etc.
Problem Solving Strategy - it helps for determining how experts take their decision. Its methods are protocol analysis, forward scenario simulation etc.
Evaluation - it is used to evaluate of KE session and evaluating prototypes. Its methods are teach back, system validation, examination etc. (Burge, 2010).
Knowledge Artifacts are what is dealt each day and it includes memos, documentation, directories, emails, case studies etc. which is found in organization. All knowledge artifacts can be implicit, tacit or explicit or combination of them. There is viewpoint that knowledge artifact must be limited to explicit knowledge but this will limit knowledge flow theory's applicability or it can fail for addressing exactly how it can transfer from one to other. So it is argued that few artifacts are implicit as artifact's exact meaning can't be captured explicitly but instead it can have inferred meaning. So knowledge flow process is not completed as implicit artifacts' users still need additional knowledge or explanation from other sources for understanding implicit artifacts (Dr. Dan, 2008).

Knowledge bases stores experts' knowledge in form of cases, rules and best practices.
Expert database stores links to experts' associated work, profiles and bibliographies.
Enterprise resource planning integrates organization's processes and data into unified system it uses computer software and hardware's components for achieving integration (Kwok and Gao, 2006).
